Saving Paradise: Honoring Our Past, Protecting Our Future This paperback book was created to help people understand that the Louisiana coastal wetlands are home to some of the most dynamic creatures on Earth -humans. I was asked to write and design this 24-page full-color book for the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) to help explain how the state's residents are uniquely tied to history, culture, and wetlands. The book answers the often asked question, "Why save coastal Louisiana?" It features portraits by Lane Lefort and my own photography including landscapes and portraits taken as part of the "Why Should We Save Coastal Lousiana?" photography project I initiated while serving as Environmental Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator with Bayou Grace Community Services in Chauvin, Louisiana. |
